Oak Haven Horizons
Derek and Jacob reside in a quiet neighborhood in the Oak Openings region. Derek has worked in group home settings for over a decade before opening a home with his partner Jacob. Jacob has worked in non-profit administration and has also conducted ministerial misconduct investigations for a religious judicatory for almost 9 years. They both bring a passion to help those who have experienced trauma find their own path forward into healing and a full life.

Derek and Jacob have many pets including a dog, cats, several comical ducks and geese with big personalities.
​

They also enjoy many hobbies including hiking in the upper peninsula, cycling and mountain biking, touring the many metro parks, and wood working and furniture building.

Youth are welcome to participate in many of these activities and encouraged to discover and develop their own talents and hobbies.
